Who is #YES snowboards?

#YES Snowboards is a well established snowboard brand, founded in 2009 by three professional snowboarders: DCP (David Carrier-Porcheron), Romain de Marchi, and JP Solberg. These snowboard riders were all former members of Burton Snowboards' high-profile global team before venturing out to create their own brand. Their departure from Burton was driven by a desire for more creative and professional freedom, as well as the opportunity to build something that reflected their personal approach to snowboarding.

#YES Snowboards was born out of the dissatisfaction the three founders felt with corporate-controlled snowboarding brands. They wanted to reclaim the essence of snowboarding for the riders, creating a company that emphasized individual expression, freedom, and creativity.

Why #YES snowboards?

The name "YES" was chosen to represent a positive attitude toward taking control of their future and expressing themselves through the sport. Commitment to Rider-Owned and Rider-Driven Ethos.

From the beginning, YES. has been a rider-owned brand. This connection to the sport and the culture gives the company an authenticity that resonates with many professional snowboarders. Every product is created with direct input from the team.

The brand quickly earned respect in the snowboarding community for staying true to the sport’s core values, with their designs and technology focusing on real-world performance rather than just marketing trends.

What is YES known for?

YES is known for pioneering new snowboard technologies and designs, such as the "UnderBite" edge profile, which changes the shape of the snowboard's edge for enhanced carving and control, and the "Tapered UnderBite" for better floatation in powder.

UnderBite

An example of an UnderBite board is our HEL YES. snowboard. This is a directional twin snowboard. A directional twin snowboard combines the freestyle versatility of a twin shape with a slight directional emphasis. While featuring a symmetrical shape for switch riding, it incorporates a subtle directional aspect, such as a slightly longer nose or setback stance, enhancing performance in one primary direction. This design maintains a playful feel for freestyle maneuvers while optimizing stability and control, particularly in powder or variable conditions. Ideal for riders who enjoy the park but desire enhanced performance on groomers or in specific terrains, a directional twin provides a versatile compromise between freestyle agility and directional stability.

Tapered UnderBite

An example of an UnderBite board is our Pyl Uninc Dcp Xtrm snowboard. This is also a directional snowboard. A directional snowboard is purposefully shaped for optimal performance in one primary direction, typically with a longer and more pointed nose compared to the tail. This design enhances stability, control, and float in varied conditions, making it particularly well-suited for carving, powder riding, and all-mountain exploration. The asymmetry aids natural turn initiation and provides a more dynamic riding experience when cruising downhill. Suited for riders who prefer a specific orientation for various terrains, a directional snowboard excels in responsiveness, offering a smooth and predictable ride that complements the nuances of specific riding styles and conditions.

Founders story

Each founder brought a unique influence to the company. Romain de Marchi, known for his aggressive snowboard freestyle riding, had a massive influence on the boards' performance in the park and backcountry. David Carrier-Porcheron (DCP) and JP Solberg, both recognized for their big-mountain riding styles, added expertise to the brand's freeride and all-mountain board designs.

Over the years #YES has engaged in several collaborations with other snowboard-related brands, as well as with influential artists and riders. These collaborations help to keep the brand fresh and engaged with the broader snowboarding community.

Since its founding, #YES Snowboards has grown into one of the most respected rider-owned brands in the industry, distributing its products worldwide. We  have remained committed to our original values, ensuring that the brand evolves with snowboarding while staying true to our roots.

Awards

Over the years, #YES Snowboards has won numerous awards for its innovative designs and contributions to snowboarding technology. The original YES founders are excited about the merger with Lobster Snowboards and Now Bindings and looking forward to the new future that is in front of us
